Seymour can consider itself unlucky in the Edna Harling Shield, as the week off denied it a chance of scraping into the division one finals.
Seymour finished in fifth place, nine points behind fourth-placed Kyabram.
What would have made the situation even more frustrating was the fact Seymour would have expected to beat Mooroopna, which finished second last, and Kyabram had to knock off top team Shepparton Park Tan to stay in the four.
Instead Kyabram will head to Stanhope, where both first week division one and two finals will be played on Tuesday, to take on Tatura-Hill Top, while Shepparton Park Tan will be up against arch-rival Shepparton Golf in the other top-flight final.
In division two, East Shepparton and Shepparton Golf will face off in the qualifying final, with the loser to play the winner of the elimination final between Tatura-Hill Top Red and Kyabram.
Much like division one, Kyabram also survived to make the division three finals with match-ups in the final round again not favourable.
Kyabram was set to play Stanhope, which it will now play in the eliminator at Tatura, while East Shepparton, which missed out by a solitary point, was planning for a match against Shepparton Golf, which won the wooden-spoon.
The winner of the Kyabram-Stanhope match will play the loser of the match between Shepparton Park and Mooroopna Golf.
Division four team Murchison can sympathise with division three's East Shepparton as it too missed out on playing finals by a point.
Murchison would have expected to beat Shepparton Park Plum, while Tatura-Hill Top would have had to knock off top-placed Nagambie if the round had gone ahead.
In Tuesday's finals at Shepparton Golf, Nagambie will play Merrigum and Tatura-Hill Top will be the "away" side against Shepparton Park Rose.
Division five will have Katandra West take on Dookie and Kyabram meets Euroa at Tatura.
Colbinabbin had a chance to make it, but would have needed to defeat top-placed Katandra West and for Euroa to lose to Kyabram.
