With the lower grade venues yet to be locked in, the venues for all five shield deciders have been narrowed down.
The Haisman Shield final will return to Deakin Reserve, while B and C-grade will be held at either Princess Park or Tallygaroopna.
The D and E finals, which will be played the week prior to the Haisman Shield, are slated to be held at either Vibert Reserve or Tatura.
It will be the first time the Haisman Shield will be contested at Deakin since the 2017-18 bout between Katandra and Numurkah.
Cricket Shepparton president David D'Elia explained the process for landing on the selected venues.
“First we went and crossed the grounds out that we couldn't use which were Katandra and Mooroopna,” D'Elia said.
“Katandra is upgrading its sprinklers, while Mooroopna is booked out for another event.
“And then we went to the clubs and asked which grounds they wanted to be used. The clubs were happy with the ones we settled on.
“The lower grade grounds still aren't confirmed yet. We need to wait and see how the ladder pans out and if other grades are playing home semi-finals or not.
“Ideally, we would like to keep the D and E-grade finals at the same venue.”
The news came as the association scrambled to postpone the planned Twenty20 deciders after Victoria was plunged into a five-day lockdown.
D'Elia confirmed the short-format grand finals would be rescheduled for a later date.
“We're the same as everyone, we are frustrated, but we understand the government's decision,” he said.
“Monday long weekend (March 1) is the spare day that we have planned for the Twenty20 finals.
“Everyone and the clubs have done a great job this season dealing with all the different guidelines and they deserve a pat on the back.”
D'Elia also said if another lockdown was brought in during the week of the Lightfoot Medal count, then the presentation night would be held online.
“If we can't have a presentation night and have guests in the one place, then we will have to move it online,” D'Elia said.
“We've spoken to the Sherbourne Terrace and we have discussed limits on how many people can go. We can space people and tables out.
“All we can do though is wait and see how the situation plays out over the next few days.”
