The dynamic forward was able to get on the end of teammate Stefan Nigro's deep free kick, using explosive quickness as he edged out the Jets’ keeper with a graceful header which sent the home fans into rapture.
Central Coast was able to grind out the win against a resurgent Newcastle outfit in the second half.
The result catapulted the Mariners into top spot after the opening round.
Speaking post-game, the Goulburn Valley Suns product relived the moment when the ball went in.
“I don't know what to say. When the ball went in, I just ran to the corner flag to see all of the fans,� Kuol said.
“It's crazy, I still can't believe it.
“First win, let's keep it going for the rest of the season.�
The classy performance was only the beginning of a memorable week for the emerging star.
Kuol's heroics on the pitch earned him selection in the Team of the Week.

The youngster had the most shots on target of any player in the opening week and five touches in the opposition's box.
He finished with a ranking score of 92.0 — the highest of all players selected in the team.
� Kuol and his Mariners teammates were back in action on Sunday afternoon for their round two encounter against Macarthur FC.
The Mariners trumped the competition newcomers 2-0 and held onto top spot on the table.
