Following back-to-back losses, the Boomers kicked into gear and thumped Adelaide Lightning 91-51 at Townsville Stadium.
The result now positions the Boomers in fifth spot on the ladder.
And Garrick was at the forefront for the Boomers’ incredible round three win.
The Shepparton product was lively on the court and finished the game with 15 points, four assists, four rebounds and a steal.
The talented guard drained two from beyond the arc, but is averaging 90 per cent from the free throw line.
Fellow co-captain Cayla George spoke to WNBL news after the win and expressed her enjoyment at how her side bounced back from consecutive losses.
“I think all in all that was more of a Boomers brand of basketball we want to be playing,” she said.
“That felt really good and we will look to move forward from here.
“We made it a real focal point to come out from the start really aggressively because we haven’t had great starts and we definitely wanted to make a point tonight to start the game well and end the game well.”
The Boomers endured two straight losses after kicking off the season with two strong wins.
UC Capitals handed the Boomers their first loss of the campaign on November 18, with the competition heavyweights saluting by 17 points.
Townsville Fire was next to deliver the Boomers a disappointing loss, running out 87-75 winners against Garrick's outfit.
Meanwhile, fellow Shepparton product Shelby Britten has not hit the court for Bendigo Spirit since last week.
Britten, in her maiden WNBL season, has played four games and last made an appearance in Bendigo's 78-65 loss to Perth.
Garrick and her Boomers teammates now have a long wait until their next game, which is against UC Capitals on December 1.
