The Cobram gun stamped his authority with a goal on debut for new club Victory, which follows a three-year stint at the Sky Blues without a senior appearance.
While his side was felled 3-1 by Beijing Guoan in the Asian Champions League, Iannucci left a lasting impression in the mind of coach Grant Brebner upon being deployed on the right wing.
Donning the number 36, 19-year-old Iannucci was injected into the contest on the 53rd minute mark.
Down 2-0, his first involvement came minutes after being introduced as Victory pushed for an avenue back into the match.
The Goulburn Valley export bent a tantalizing ball into the corridor of uncertainty, narrowly evading a blue shirt.
Moments later he was at it again, picking the pocket of his marker before delivering a dangerous cross into the box in which the resultant chance was squandered.
Victory would leak a third goal in the 74th minute, but Iannucci wasted no time putting Cobram on the map in the following phases.
Picking up the ball from Luis Lawrie-Lattanzio, the 19-year-old sent a sizzling shot goal-bound from 25-yards.
Hit with plenty of venom, the ball careened off the toe of Kim Min-Jae, over the goalkeeper's flailing arms and into the net — an instinctive moment to mark a memorable debut.
The diminutive winger continued to remain relentless on defence and astute in attack as he settled into the pace of the game.
Elvis Kamsoba's introduction had Iannucci shift over to the left for the final five minutes, but although Victory monopolised possession in the latter stages, no further chances were created as the score finished 3-1.
While slightly robbed of the chance to truly drink in the occasion due to the score line and lack of crowd, the “Moira Shire Messi” expressed his delight to mark his debut with a goal.
“It was actually a very weird feeling when I scored. With no crowd it took away the atmosphere of what's meant to be the biggest stage on the continent,” he said.
“Inside I was absolutely thrilled and just wanted to celebrate, but we were 3-1 down, so we needed to grab the ball and go again.
“I was happy to have just made my senior debut, but to top it off with a goal meant so much. As much as the debut and the goal meant to me, I would've taken three points any day.”
Victory returns for a rematch with Beijing Guoan on Friday, where Iannucci will hope to turn heads for a second time in Doha.
● The A-League fixture list has been announced for 2020-21.
One date to save for Goulburn Valley football fans is January 10, where Alou Kuol and the Central Coast Mariners go to battle against Iannucci's Victory in Gosford.
