The centre was forced to shut its doors as the second wave of coronavirus engulfed Victoria and has barely been open since March.
The recent easing of COVID-19 restrictions in Victoria has allowed the centre to begin operating again and it's full steam ahead for those participating in indoor sports.
As per Victoria's last step of the road map restrictions, contact sport for all ages is now allowed to begin indoors.
Facilities have a cap of 150 people and 20 per group and participants must still wear a mask indoors — unless exercise leaves you short of breath or puffing.
The indoor sports centre is running cricket, soccer and a variety of netball competitions each weeknight.
Major League Indoor Sports Shepparton co-owner Navraj Gill said it had been a tough year for everyone and couldn't wait to welcome all the familiar faces back.
“We are really excited to be back open and welcoming all our teams back,” Gill said.
“This year has been tough, it's been tough on everyone in the community.
“We opened our doors on Monday night and it was the first time we had indoor soccer since March. It was a long wait for many of our players.
“It was just so good to see familiar faces that have been with us for a long time, they are like a family really.”
While Major League has had its doors shut, the ownership has been hard at work on renovating the facility.
The centre has installed four cooling units, new lights and LED scoreboards on the courts, changerooms have been renovated and a sports store has opened on site.
Registrations for any of the competitions are still open and you can jump online to enter your teams.
● Bowls Victoria has updated its policies in the wake of Victoria reaching the last step of its road map.
Bowlers are no longer required to wear masks when playing outdoors and if they can remain at a 1.5 m distance apart.
Spectators are allowed, but they will be included in venue caps and indoor bowls can recommence, subject to venue and group caps.
● Basketball Victoria has announced that hoops can return under the Orange-50 category.
There is a maximum of 12 players a team, followed by one parent or guardian a player.
All non-playing officials such as scorers, coaches, team managers and referees are excluded from the density cap.
And masks must be worn when entering or leaving the stadium and any time when a participant is not playing.
