The club's Sunday, October 18 meeting — Seymour Cup day — will be transferred to Kilmore Racing Club, while its Thursday, October 29 meeting will head to Cranbourne.
The 1600 m Seymour Cup will be run at Kilmore this weekend, while the $100,000 Heat 5 of The Melbourne Cup Carnival Country Series over 1600 m will also be contested.
Seymour Racing Club held a series of jump outs last week, and while there continues to be signs of improvement on track, it will need additional time to consolidate before the club hosts a meeting.
SRC chief executive Penny Reeve said the while it was disappointing to have to transfer two meetings away, it was in the best long-term interests of the track.
“I would like to thank the Kilmore and Cranbourne Racing Clubs for taking on these two meetings and I look forward to watching the running of the Seymour Cup, albeit at a different venue, on Sunday,” Reeve said.
With Kilmore taking on the Seymour Cup on Sunday, its own Tuesday, October 20 meeting has been transferred to Wodonga.
