The promising teenager produced a stunning header against Bonnyrigg White Eagles to lead the Mariners to a breath-taking come-from-behind win at the weekend.
Kuol, a GV Suns product, rose above the pack - with his side down 0-1 - and found the back of the net to level the scores after 57 minutes.
Following the momentum swing, the Mariners edged ahead 10 minutes later with another goal which sealed their 2-1 win at Pluim Park.
The Mariners now get a chance to claim grand final success following their title premiership last week.
“I’m delighted for the boys”, Mariners coach Nick Montgomery told ccmariners.com.au
“They’ve put a lot of hard work in to win the league last week, and nothing comes unless you work for it and today, we were the better team.”
But it was the exploits of Kuol that Montgomery raved about most.
Having started on the bench last time out, Kuol was promoted to the starting line-up for the do-or-die contest.
And the forward wiz did not disappoint.
Kuol, who broke into Central Coast's A-League outfit earlier this year, stepped up when his team needed him most.
Montgomery praised the performance of Kuol as he highlighted the wonderkid's whirlwind 12 months on the pitch.
“He’s been building ever since he came back from the A-League”, Montgomery said.
“It’s been a big year for the boy, he’s gone from playing in Shepparton in Victoria to playing in the A-League.
“He’s a diamond of a kid and I thought today he deserved his goal. He was physical and showed fantastic technical ability.”
The Mariners will now front up against Northern Tigers this Saturday afternoon at Valentine Sports Park.
