It also brings with it an opportunity to invest in some new gardening gloves and bring your spring garden to life.
With the ever-popular native plants like the grevillea’s flying off the shelves at the Billabong Garden Complex, administration manager Sally Moseley said although natives were always popular, this season has seen some new gardening trends also take off.
“The bird attracting, and long flowering plant options are always popular,” Sally said.
“However, this season I am seeing many families invest in the Vegepods and Foodcube products.
“They are raised garden beds for backyard beginners or garden gurus, they are also very popular for people with a disability because of the height.
“Great for things like a salad bar, herb garden, even a dedicated strawberry patch.”
The expansive nursery is home to a large range of exotic and native plants to suit all garden themes and styles in varying sizes from small tubes through to advanced trees and shrubs for instant gardens.
With the theme for this edition of the magazine being DIY and inspiration on a budget, Sally said the complex offered many affordable gardening options for people to consider.
“Whether you’re chasing a mix of colours for a vibrant spring garden or want something that’s easy to look after with quick results — the options are endless,” she said.
“Your garden can look amazing on a budget.
“Pop in for some inspiration.”
