Emily Hosie, 36, of Mooroopna, was charged with two counts of driving while disqualified, driving while suspended, using an unroadworthy vehicle, using an unregistered vehicle and affixing false number plates.
Her matter was heard in the Shepparton Magistrates’ Court in her absence.
Prosecutor Senior Constable Luke Lund told the court Hosie was discovered driving on a disqualified licence on June 22, 2020, after she was pulled over by police on Toolamba Rd, Mooroopna.
The court was told Hosie’s licence had been suspended for drug driving and later cancelled after she did not complete a drug course.
Sen Constable Lund said Hosie was again picked up driving on a disqualified licence on Toolamba Rd, Mooroopna, on September 15, 2020.
The court heard there was also no tread on the two rear wheels of the vehicle on this occasion.
Hosie told police at the time that she knew she did not have a licence but said she had to go and pick up her son because he “took off”, Sen Constable Lund said.
The court was told that Hosie had number plates on her vehicle that belonged to another vehicle when she was pulled over by police on November 28, 2020.
She was again driving without a driver’s licence.
Hosie told police at the time that she was driving to pick up her partner, who had an ankle injury.
