A shredded tyre, a newly changed tyre and a stolen car.
That’s the scenario that greeted Mooroopna police on a residential street on Tuesday, February 4.
Mooroopna police Senior Constable Malcolm Brady said a car that was stolen from the Melbourne suburb of Oak Park on Sunday, February 2, was found by police parked in a Mooroopna street at 9am on Tuesday morning.
A shredded tyre was nearby and Sen Constable Brady said a new tyre had been put on the Mitsubishi Lancer.
A 28-year-old Shepparton man was arrested and has been charged with theft of a vehicle.
He has been bailed to appear in Shepparton Magistrates’ Court at a later date.
