Shepparton police arrested two 20-year-old men in relation to the alleged burglary of Shepparton business, Roly’s Mobiles, overnight on Wednesday, August 21.
Police allege the front door of the Maude St business was forced open with a jemmy bar and several Apple and Samsung products were allegedly stolen.
A 20-year-old from Shepparton, was arrested on Friday, August 23, but not before he allegedly fled from police and jumped fences after they went to a Shepparton house.
Police cordoned off the area in the city’s south and arrested him at a nearby house.
He was charged in relation to eight separate incidents, including four alleged burglaries at Red Rooster, Bottle-O, I Love This Shop and Roly’s Mobiles, as well as alleged attempted burglaries at the Ampol service station on Archer St, Shepparton and Watches and Diamonds in Tatura.
He was also charged with an alleged theft from a vehicle in Maude St, criminal damage, obtaining property, theft from shops, trespass and resisting arrest.
The incidents are alleged to have taken place between July 28 and August 21.
Police also arrested a 20-year-old Tallygaroopna man at a Shepparton house on Thursday, August 22.
He was charged with burglary of Roly’s Mobiles, theft and drug possession, and has been bailed to appear in Shepparton Magistrates’ Court at a later date.
Police investigations into the incidents are ongoing.
