Any witnesses that may have seen someone driving a tractor on Merrigum-Ardmona Rd should contact Shepparton police.
Det Acting Sgt Van Emmerik said people that were seen acting suspiciously on the side of the road should also be reported.
“Check any dash-cam footage of around the Merrigum-Ardmona area,” he said.
Police are also seeking any dash cam footage or information regarding a fire on the eastern side of the Katamatite-Shepparton Main Road, Congupna at Guilfas Creek crossing.
Shepparton First Constable Jessica Stievano said the fire was burning on January 4 of between 2.15 pm and 3.00 pm.
Police also want to remind residents that fire danger period restrictions are still in place.
Fires are not to be lit unless the appropriate permit is secured.
