Cobram police have impounded a car and charged a Numurkah man after he was allegedly caught speeding on two separate occasions.

Police found the man and the vehicle allegedly involved at an address in Centre Rd, Numurkah, where the man was arrested and charged.
On January 9, 2022, police saw the man driving a teal Ford Falcon allegedly bearing fake number plates on Punt Rd, Cobram.
Police attempted to intercept the vehicle but the driver allegedly failed to stop after being detected travelling at 175km/h in an 80km/h zone.
Police allege the same man, driving the same car with a different set of number plates, was detected travelling at 145km/h in a 100km/h zone on January 14.
The man has been charged with 18 offences, including reckless conduct endangering serious injury, failing to stop and unlicensed driving.
He was bailed to appear at Cobram Magistrates’ Court at a later date.
