A driver who died in a fatal car crash in Nagambie last week has been identified as a 38-year-old man from Woodend, Victoria Police confirmed.

Emergency services were called to the scene at Mullers Rd about 3.20pm on Thursday, January 20, following reports a car had crashed into a tree and caught fire.
The driver was unable to be saved.
A Victoria Police spokesperson said the investigation remained ongoing and the exact circumstances were yet to be determined.
