A Victoria Police spokesperson said emergency services were called to a property on Mangan St, Tongala, about 11.50pm with reports of a stabbing.
A 29-year-old man was airlifted to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, the spokesperson said.
An Ambulance Victoria spokesperson said the man was treated for upper body injuries at the scene before he was flown to Alfred Hospital, Melbourne, in a serious but stable condition.
Police arrested a 58-year-old man at the property, and have since charged him with intentionally causing injury and recklessly causing injury, the police spokesperson said.
