Police are investigating a Shepparton house fire that broke out early on Monday, February 21.

Nobody was inside the home at 5 Burns Court, Shepparton, which was well alight when emergency services arrived about 1.30am.
According to a Fire Rescue Victoria spokesperson, it took 10 firefighters less than 20 minutes to bring the fire under control.
“Firefighters believe the fire may have been started under suspicious circumstances,” the spokesperson said.
“Once the fire was extinguished crews handed the scene to Victoria Police to investigate.”

Police are also appealing for witnesses to a fire in bushland on the Mooroopna side of the Goulburn River on Saturday, February 19.
It is believed the fire started about 7.55pm, about 100m west of the footbridge near Tom Collins Dve.
