Police said a white Toyota HiLux with a motorbike on its flat tray was stolen during an aggravated burglary in Shepparton’s Grammar Park, on the morning of Sunday, February 16.
The HiLux was reported as allegedly travelling erratically and on the wrong side of the road through several Mooroopna streets later that day.
The police air wing was called to assist police on the ground.
The stolen vehicle was dumped around 2.50pm in McKean St, Mooroopna.
The air wing observed a male driver fleeing from the scene into a nearby property.
Police converged on the area and arrested a 19-year-old Mooroopna man when he walked from the property shortly after.
Police confirmed an electric scooter and a computer were also stolen in the morning from a Grammar Park address in what they believe was a related incident.
The man has been charged with this incident, as well as several other incidents that had taken place between Shepparton and Cobram since February 12.
He has been charged with 25 offences, including theft of a vehicle, dangerous driving while pursued by police, burglary, assault with a weapon, and reckless conduct endangering life, criminal damage by arson, traffic offences, theft of petrol and theft from a vehicle.
He has been remanded in custody to appear in Shepparton Magistrates’ Court.
