Brad is an educator but he’s gone straight for the rural vote by posing in front of some “frolicking cows”.
This could well be the turning point in the campaign, and the Nationals will have to think of something extraordinary to claw back the votes.
Luckily their candidate, Annabelle Cleeland, has a background in fine merino wool. There is hope yet.
Empty aisles
You know it’s winter when ...
You walk into a chemist only to find there are more cough, cold and flu medications out of stock than in stock.
We knew it was coming after two years of not being exposed, but it seems even the manufacturers underestimated the demand.
Diversity can’t be helped
A keen watcher of local matters pointed out that while Greater Shepparton has one of the most diverse councils in the state, it is going to get a lot harder.
If Greater Shepparton moves to nine single councillor wards at the next election, it will be much harder for people who represent a section of the community to garner enough support.
The fragmentation into smaller wards is supposed to encourage greater diversity on councils, but it may well have the opposite effect here.
