The couple, who moved to Australia from Malaysia in 2004, debuted their food truck at the event over the grand final long weekend.
“People have told us the food is very delicious,” Mr Lim said.
It was during the pandemic that Mr Lim got the idea of a food truck to deliver meals to people.
The idea grew from there.
Though the pandemic may have receded, the desire to visit different parts of the region remained.
The couple bought the food truck in early 2021, but it only arrived two months ago due to supply chain issues.
The truck is named after Mrs Lim.
Yum Yum May offers a variety of Asian food, including pho, spring rolls, yum cha, pork bao buns and curry puffs.
Mr Lim and Mrs Lim operate the food truck in between their jobs working at orchards.
In terms of the future, Mr Lim said he was taking everything as it came.
“I am giving it a try … right now, it’s about being mobile and getting involved in the community and giving back,” Mr Lim said.
The Lims are hoping to be at the Fryers St Food Festival on November 5.
