The Riverina, Regional and Victorian championships were added to the 11-year-old’s trophy cabinet in 2024.
With his father Matt alongside, Harley is determined to go one step further this year at the Australian championships.
Harley has his sights set on retaining the Victorian title he won last year but is ready to have a go at “the big one”.
The Dunlop family are passionate motocross enthusiasts.
Since the age of two, Matt has assisted his son to realise his childhood ambitions.
“Ever since he was able to walk, all Harvey has wanted was to race dirt bikes,” Matt said.
Harley Dunlop doing what he loves best.
Racing has taken the father/son duo across Victoria and New South Wales and Matt admits the sacrifices can at times, test his boy.
“It's hard for a young kid to be doing all the hours he does on the bike,” he said.
“He does miss birthdays and family events, which certainly make him want to go that step further on race day.”
Younger sister Airlie, is tipped to race for the first time this year, following in the footsteps of her older brother.
Matt said Harley was grateful to coach Codey Russ, who gave up a lot of time to work with the young gun.
Despite the first race of this season's campaign not going according to the script, Harley managed to hold off mechanical issues to earn a respectable 7th placed finish.
Keep a close eye on what this young marvel can achieve.
