The top side went into the match as a heavy favourite having won four more games than fourth-placed Cobram during the home and away season.
Despite the closeness on the scoreboard, which was 69 to 62, and the fact the match was decided on the final end, Wunghnu still managed to win three of four rinks.
Wunghnu's Andrew Henderson won the closest rink of the day, winning by two shots over Raymond Parks.
Trevor Hosie won by six over Steve Tatnall and Peter Revell finished off the job by defeating Michael Toohey by five.
Cobram's Gregory Dunn stopped the clean sweep with a six-shot win over Barry Cosgrove.
Henderson's win was even more impressive considering his rink was down 2-9 early in the match.
Cobram and Wunghnu also played off for the division two flag, with Cobram winning by 28 shots.
In division three, Jerilderie knocked off Numurkah by 28 shots and Numurkah's two teams battled it out in division four, with Numurkah 4 winning by 10 shots over Numurkah 3.
