The exhibition will be held from May to July, featuring handmade shawls and scarves using yarn or textiles that can be crocheted, knitted, sewn or embellished.
After the success of the inaugural event in 2023, Campaspe Mayor Rob Amos said this year will be a great opportunity for the community members to showcase their handiwork once again.
“There were some absolutely incredible pieces submitted last year, so I am excited to see what’s in store for the 2024 exhibition,” he said.
Entry is free, and you can submit your piece from now until Monday, May 6.
Submissions can be delivered to your closest Campaspe library branch or depot, with the exhibit being displayed to the public at various library locations during May, June and July.
Exhibition visitors will be invited to vote for People’s Choice awards, presented in two categories: adult and under-18.
Once the exhibition closes in July, entrants can choose to donate their submissions to the Echuca Moama Community Project’s ‘Coat and Blanket Drive’.
“This is a great opportunity to help those in need this winter while doing something you enjoy,” Cr Amos said.
