A diverse group of people travelled out to the Billabong Creek at The Cape, Jerilderie, recently to learn about native mussels, their breeding habits, and where they can be found.
Organised under the banner of YACTAC, the participants of all ages waded into the creek, some fully clothed, in their quest to locate the elusive creatures.
Information gained was recorded, an expert on the subject of mussels provided interesting facts and figures, and everyone had a great time.
