Come along to the Women Candidate Information Session and find out everything you need to know about running for council in the upcoming 2024 local government elections.
The presentation, held at Shepparton Art Museum on Thursday, July 25, will provide a general overview of the role of a councillor, in addition to exploring perceived barriers and the flexibility available to support all councillors.
State member for Shepparton Kim O’Keeffe will also be the guest speaker, speaking on her experiences as a former Greater Shepparton City Council mayor and councillor.
While women are encouraged to attend, everyone is welcome.
This session will be the first of three happening in Shepparton in the coming months, with a general candidate and information session happening in August and a Victorian Electoral Commission candidate information session happening in September.
