The person who died in the fatal crash at Tallygaroopna on Wednesday, September 13, has been identified.
She was a 67-year-old woman from Katunga.
The woman died after her station wagon and a ute crashed on the Goulburn Valley Hwy, near the Victoria St intersection, about 3.15pm.
The ute driver, a 30-year-old Kialla man, was flown to Melbourne’s The Alfred hospital in a stable condition with lower-body injuries.
On Thursday, a hospital spokesperson said the man remained in hospital in a stable condition.
Police said he was assisting them with their inquiries.
Police investigations into the crash are continuing.
The Katunga woman is the 33rd person to die on the region’s roads in 24 separate fatal crashes since New Year’s Eve.
It was also the 208th life lost on Victorian roads this year.
