Windows were smashed at Jeff Young Shoes and The Athlete’s Foot in Maude St, as well as Ramsay Pharmacy in Wyndham St, and Nixon and Maude in Maude St about 8pm.
Shepparton police Sergeant Mark Phillips said the damage was allegedly done by one person over about a 10-minute period.
He said a metal water meter lid was allegedly used to break windows at two shops, while a metal Telstra access lid was allegedly used to break the other two.
Both small metal lids were near the businesses damaged.
The most expensive of the windows broken will cost about $1500 to repair, while two of the others received $1000 damage each, and one $800 worth of damage.
A 41-year-old Shepparton man has been charged with four counts of criminal damage, four counts of discharging a missile and one count of committing an indictable offence while on bail.
