For 10 years, Art4CFA has run as an annual exhibition, with rural brigades across the region having participated.
As well as the Hilldene Fire Brigade, brigades in Trawool, Whiteheads Creek, Glenaroua and Tallarook have previously taken part.
The idea to exhibit artwork in local fire stations sprouted from the mind of the late Lee Stephenson, who was the communications officer at Trawool Fire Brigade.
Ms Stephenson has since been honoured by the Lee Stephenson Award for artwork voted most popular, which was introduced last year.
Over the Easter period, the exhibition will take place, with commission from the sale of each artwork being donated to the hosting brigade.
Lynda Robinson, who is co-ordinating art entries for the event this year and has been involved in Art4CFA since its inception, said the event was for art enthusiasts and members of the public who were interested in seeing the inner workings of a fire station.
“Art4CFA has become an extremely popular community event,” Ms Robinson said.
“Turning a fire station into an art gallery for the Easter weekend has been a most enjoyable experience.
“As well as viewing the artwork, it gives the public the opportunity to see inside a fire station, chat to CFA members about the organisation and maybe consider joining as a volunteer.
“Artists are very happy to donate the commission from the sale of their work to the brigade to provide funds for extra equipment.”
Alongside funds generated from artwork sales, the event will also involve a raffle.
Raffle winners win receive Ms Robinson’s painting titled Goulburn River Sunset for first prize, an Easter basket for second prize and Brave Goose wines for third.
Brigades chosen to participate in Art4CFA have most often been without a township, which limits their fundraising opportunities.
Art4CFA is an event that not only expands the chances of the brigades involved to raise money, but also allows local artists to showcase their talents.
The opening night will take place on Thursday, April 17 at 6.30pm.
The exhibition will continue throughout Easter weekend, closing at 1pm on Monday, April 21, with raffle prizes drawn the same day.
