Two days of winter warming sales? Yes, please! This Friday and Saturday, the Winter City Market returns to the Maude St precinct. There’ll be special deals and promotions, music, family entertainment and activities, and food choices aplenty from restaurants and cafés located in the CBD.

Belong – Awaken Dance Theatre Company
Awaken Dance Theatre Company’s latest creation, Belong, explores the intricacies of emotion, belonging and acceptance with dance, music, lighting and special effects. Set across four households, talented local youth take audiences on a journey of connection and purpose through dance.

Transition Tatura presents Communities Shaping the Future: Cooking All Electric
Transition Tatura is hosting its 10th annual film festival, with a focus on ‘cooking all electric’. It’s a feast of learning and eating at the Mechanics’ Institute Hall on Saturday as guest chefs demonstrate cooking with induction, short films are played and guest speakers take the stage. Plus, a local student art competition is on display. Morning tea, lunch and nibbles provided.

Shepparton Running Festival
The Shepparton Running Festival hits the track this Saturday. Runners will hot-tail it along the banks of the Goulburn and Broken rivers and around Victoria Park Lake in the marathon, half marathon, 10km, 5km or 2km family run. Celebrations await past the finish line, with live bands, food trucks, coffee, beer and kids’ activities.

The melodies of country music will ring out this Sunday from the Sir Ian McLennan Centre. Guest artist Hilary is set to perform, plus walk-up artists are welcome to take the stage. Free tea and coffee provided and barbecue meals available for purchase. BYO cup and nibbles.

Sundays at Eastbank – GV Concert Orchestra Chamber Series
Mark it in your calendar, the GV Concert Orchestra’s free Sunday afternoon chamber concerts are on. During August and September, members of the orchestra, past and present, will perform at Riverlinks Eastbank. Each week will be different, giving community members a new performance to look forward to.

Luke Blaze — Reborn
Australia’s youngest underwater escape artist is embarking on a regional tour that begins in Mooroopna. On September 2, you could be the first to witness the magic of Luke Blaze as he transports, levitates, eats fire and more! Audience members will be holding their breath as they witness Luke perform his death-defying stunts during the 90-minute show.
