Compliance investigations are taking place regarding two fires in the Mid Murray Rural Fire Service zone in the past week.
Firefighters were recalled to a Wakool Rd property near Deniliquin on Thursday after a fire reignited.
The fire originated from a welding or grinding incident a week earlier, requiring RFS intervention.
Once confident the fire had been extinguished, the property was handed back to the occupant for continued monitoring.
Firefighters were called back to the property about 5pm Thursday after the fire reignited and got in to grass and bushes.
RFS crews were also called to an escaped permit burn at Moulamien on Saturday, about 5pm.
While the property owner did have a permit, staff from the Mid Murray Zone allege not all conditions relating to the permit were adhered to.
