A second community meeting will be held at the Deniliquin RSL Club this Thursday from 8pm.
Instigator Diego Sztejman said it is open to all local residents, but particularly those who can assist in forming and supporting the group.
It will likely be the last public meeting before formal neighbourhood watch meetings begin.
The group requires community support, and is seeking more volunteers for patrol and administrative operations.
Financial contributions and sponsorship are also required, which is the only way for operations to be carried out.
“It will help a lot if local businesses are willing to chip in any amount,” Mr Sztejman said.
“Every little bit counts and will go to a worthwhile cause.”
Mr Sztejman will also be attending the Coffee with a Cop event at Deniliquin’s Frank n Beans cafe this morning, from 10am to 11.30am.
Informal patrols have already been started by group volunteers, who were active last Thursday night.
Shifts will arranged be at random as the group comes together.
