The club was one of dozens from across the state which made its way to the Bendigo Junior Classic.
President Michelle Judd was pleased with how the weekend went on and off the court.
The under-18 girls were seven points off the grand final, going down to Mildura in the semi-final.
The under-14 girls finished third in their pool, missing out on finals in division one, while the under-16 girls finished fifth in their pool and also didn't qualify for deciders.
The Gators’ under-14 boys lost to Geelong by two points in their semi-final, while the under-18 boys also fell to Geelong.
That side finished third in its pool, but was knocked out in the first round of finals by seven points.
The under-12 boys division one bowed out in their quarter-final, going down to Echuca by six points, while the under-16s missed finals.
The stadium had to be cleared after each game for cleaning and spectators were limited during the event.
“It was a little different for the kids, they were good results considering most of them haven't spent much time on the court recently,” Judd said.
While temperatures hit 40ºC outside, fewer bodies in stadiums meant the heat wasn't as much of a factor.
“The number of how many could go in there was limited, so after their games they went back to accommodation which had airconditioning,” Judd said.
“Normally they'd stick around and watch other games, but they couldn't.”
She said COVID-19 protocols had been manageable, and the event “seemed to go off without a hitch”.
