UMFC’s family violence child safety team, as part of UMFC’s child and family services, is coming to Benalla to deliver multiple “I am ME” workshops to local kindergarten children, parents, carers and educators.
These workshops focus on body safety, breaking down gender stereotypes and encouraging kids to simply be kids.
Other UMFC services available to the Benalla community include family therapy, free Qspace counselling, financial counselling and financial literacy workshops.
Additionally, UMFC carers, aged and disability services provide short-term, flexible support to many types of formal and informal carers.
Its care services program also supports Benalla-based foster carers and those interested in becoming carers.
Among others, UMFC celebrates and supports the endeavours of Benalla’s Tomorrow Today Foundation, Family Services Benalla and Benalla Rural City Council to support the health and wellbeing of children and families.
