Once a year, those who trained at Mooroopna Base Hospital and Goulburn Valley Base Hospital reunite over lunch to share their memories from their nursing days.

Goulburn Valley Base Hospital — now Goulburn Valley Health — ceased nurse training in 1991.
Graduates have been meeting annually since 1959.

Their 66th reunion was held on Saturday, February 22 at Kensington Gardens, Shepparton, where nurses who trained at the two hospitals enjoyed a lunch provided by the Caniambo CWA.
“We had a very successful reunion on Saturday with 47 guests,” organising committee member Margaret Mouser said.
“Some travelled from around Victoria and interstate.”

Former Mooroopna Hospital nurse trainee and now Aged Care Assessment Service employee Ann-Maree Davis was a guest speaker and spoke about the current process for aged care assessment and the many changes being introduced.
Marion Davis, a committee member for 28 years, was thanked for her commitment to the group and presented with a floral bouquet, while three guests received a gift box from EcoStore Enterprises when their names were pulled out of a lucky ticket draw on the day.
The next reunion will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2026.
