The change in the work program is needed for additional work to be carried out to further strengthen the bridge before the final crane lift operations can take place.
The bridge will be closed at night to all traffic until early December, with the last night shift now expected to be completed by 4am on Friday, December 6. The timing is weather permitting.
Bridge closures will be from 8pm to 4am, Sunday night to Friday morning.
The bridge will be open at all other times, including weekends, with no impacts.
During work hours, light and heavy vehicles will be detoured via Nyah Bridge, accessed via Koraleigh Rd and Speewa Rd, adding 30 minutes to journeys.
Vehicles over 4.1m in height will detour to Swan Hill Bridge, accessed via Stony Crossing Road and Swan Hill Road, adding one hour to journeys.
From Monday, December 9, day work will be carried out on the bridge Monday to Friday from 7am to 5pm for two weeks, weather permitting.
This will require some temporary closures to the bridge throughout the day, as required.
Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.
