Those travelling by foot, bike, car — and attempting to by train — could all be affected.
A pair of multi-day events in Shepparton and Kialla will see separate detours in place, while tweaks to the public transport schedule have already been announced.
Shepparton Running Festival
Sections of a number of Kialla streets will see extra foot traffic on Saturday and Sunday due to the Shepparton Running Festival.
Wellington Crt will have runners on the road, Kialla Lakes Dve and Waranga Dve will have runners crossing the road and Gordon Dve will have runners crossing the road as well as running on the kerb.
There may be temporary road and pathway closures and detours in these areas between 3pm and 5.30pm on Saturday, August 26 and from 7am to 4pm on Sunday, August 27.
Shepparton Winter City Market
The market is back for 2023, with the Maude St precinct coming to life with music, entertainment, activities and food — as well as special deals and promotions — on Friday and Saturday.
Maude St will be closed to traffic between Fryers and High Sts from 6am Friday to 4pm Saturday.
The event itself will run from 10am to 5pm on Friday and 10am to 2pm on Saturday.
Buses to replace trains
Buses are currently replacing trains on the Shepparton line.
Coaches will replace trains on the Shepparton and Seymour lines between Southern Cross and Seymour, and Shepparton, from Wednesday, August 23 to Sunday, August 27.
This is due to upgrades along these lines; however, Albury line trains will run as normal.
A temporary timetable will be in place during the five days of rail works, and passengers are urged to allow 60 minutes extra for the journey by coach.
