It starts with a free community breakfast in Civic Plaza from 8.30am, followed by the official ceremony at the Deniliquin Town Hall from 9.45am.
The proceedings will include the presentation of Australia Day Awards to honour our region's community achievements and outstanding individuals.
Attendees will also enjoy performances from the Sing Australia Choir and the Edward River Concert Band, with the Australia Day address from local author Garry Baker.
Following the ceremony, Deniliquin Rotary Club will open the 2000 time capsule in the Waring Gardens.
Australia Day 2025 is promoted as a day to reflect, respect and celebrate.
Mayor Ashley Hall said he is looking forward to the community gathering for this special event.
"Australia Day is a time to come together and celebrate the strength and connectedness of our community,“ he said.
Murray River Council
Australia Day celebrations will be held in each of the Murray River communities.
Events are as follows:
• Mathoura/Moama - Soldiers Memorial Park, Mathoura from 9am, for breakfast and Australia Day ceremony.
• Barham - Riverside Park from 8am, for breakfast and Australia Day ceremony.
• Moulamein - The Triangle from 8am, for breakfast and Australia Day ceremony.
• Wakool - Wakool Hall from 10am, for breakfast and Australia Day ceremony.
• Tooleybuc - Mensforth Park from 7.30am, for breakfast and Australia Day ceremony.
• Koraleigh - Koraleigh Recreation Reserve from 7am, for breakfast and Australia Day ceremony
