The annual event was officially held in October, with the theme ‘Curious Creatures, Wild Minds’.Year 3 student Sasha J (pictured) took the theme more literally than some others, choosing to dress as one of the creatures from the popular Maurice Sendak book Where The Wild Things Are.
And she got right in to her character, trudging through the school’s gardens which resemble the land of the ‘Wild Things’.
Other characters brought to life through costumes included an Egyptian pharaoh, the Very Hungry Caterpillar, scientist Marie Curie, May Gibbs’ famed Gumnut Babies and some of our favourites from the Harry Potter and Alice in Wonderland books.
Students were able to showcase their costumes in a traditional parade, and there was also a book fair held as part of the fun-filled week.
