Interim Moderator Dave Powell travelled from Albury to perform the official ceremony.
Pastor Matt and his wife Kylie moved from Yeoval, a small village in the Central Western district of NSW, located between Dubbo and Orange, to Finley mid-January to take up the position after coming across an advertisement for the role.
They have two daughters, 23 year-old Natalie who is a nurse and 21 year-old Katie who is at university.
Pastor Matt has spent many years in the ministry including eight years at Broken Hill.
He and Kylie declare they are country people at heart and are looking forward to their time ministering with services in Finley each week and Berrigan every second week.
