Olivia, Xander, Ben and Josh Sullivan, Cobram. Ben: The dream would be to go around Australia, stopping as much as we can and taking as long as possible to do that. That's definitely the dream. We're looking to do it at some point with the caravan.

Perfect spring weather and an enticing range of choice at the Great Outdoor 4 x 4 Expo in Shepparton last weekend had plenty of people dreaming of their own perfect adventures.

So the News pulled on the hiking boots, slapped on the broad-brimmed hat and packed a snatch strap (just in case) to ask expo goers what their dream adventure would be.
Lee Sutherland, Cohuna: We've been around Australia twice now. Not all in one hit. We've done the west coast, the east coast. Probably the pick of the places would be up around Kununurra (Queensland), up in that area, it’s lovely up through there.

Rob Barr, from Cohuna: Up into the Kimberley, which is apparently a good end of the world. I haven't seen it myself. So that'd be the dream adventure. Definitely in a caravan and I’d need a good ute to pull it.

Barbara Glass, from Invermay: Some more in the Flinders Ranges. That area, we love and haven’t explored and certainly, we’d love to get over to the west. We had hoped to take the train over there this year, next year or the next year, but it’s all booked out, so we're thinking perhaps we need a caravan to get there.

Eden, Kye and Isla Hardie, Shepparton. Kye: Dream escape would be to travel up to the Northern Territory and go barramundi fishing. Crack that metre-long one. Take the family.

Jamie Wilson, Shepparton: To go around Australia again with no kids. Do the whole circuit again. The last time was just under six months. With a caravan. That's what we're thinking of.

Shaun Clancy, Kyabram: To get up to the Cape (Cape York Peninsula), to get up there one day. It's been a bucket list thing for many, many years. I haven't got there yet, but yes, hopefully one day I'll get there. We’ve got a four-wheel-drive. We're still in the tenting phase of our lives at the moment. Would eventually like to get a caravan, an off-road caravan, to do some touring around.
