There is a killer line-up of feature length films for your Friday night and viewers are spoiled for choice. Good luck picking one!

At 8.30pm on Channel 9, there’s the classic tale of the archer from Sherwood Forest, Robin Hood (2010), starring Russell Crowe.

Or you could tune into 9Gem at 8.30pm for the 80s sci-fi classic, Star Trek III: The Search for Spock (1984).

But Tolkien fans will be tuning into 9Go at 8.40pm for The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies (2014). This finale of Bilbo Baggins’ adventure to the Lonely Mountain culminates in an epic battle between men, elves, dwarves and the forces of evil.

It doesn’t stop there though! On ABC Kids at 8.30pm the classic coming-of-age adventure Stand By Me (1986) is showing.

SAS Australia set for 2022 return

SAS Australia will return in 2022 on Channel 7 and 7plus, with 17 Aussie celebrities attempting a series of physical and psychological tests from the real SAS selection process.

The stars will be isolated from the outside world and will be subjected to extreme physical endurance, sleep deprivation, interrogation and psychological testing.

Some recruits will reach breaking point and withdraw. Who will have the mental strength to tough it out to the end?

Guiding recruits through the most gruelling course yet is chief instructor Ant Middleton, joined by retired US Navy SEAL Clint Emerson and former British Special Forces soldier Dean Stott.
