The 56-space car park will be located on private land on the corner of Sobraon and Wyndham streets.
Due to road widening along Wyndham St, council had to remove the parking that was adjacent to the lake.
“Council has gained the approval of the land owner of the property on the northwest corner of Wyndham and Sobraon streets to allow for temporary public parking for visitors to the Victoria Park Lake precinct while the works are occurring along the frontage of the park,” infrastructure director Phil Hoare said.
“Council appreciates the support of the property owner allowing us to establish a temporary car park on the site while the works are being undertaken.”
Fenced KidsTown
Greater Shepparton City Council is planning to replace the wooden fencing surrounding some of the western perimeter at KidsTown.
According to tender documents, the wood will be replaced with about 230 m of steel fencing.
The documents say council will use a similar design to steel fencing surrounding Aquamoves and the Merrigum Pool.
Council's preferred timetable starts the contract on December, 4 with hopes for the project to be completed by the end of January 2021.
The request for tender period closes on November 11.
