The event, sponsored again by Purtills and Wired Entertainment, is a fourball best ball stableford with 18 holes on Saturday and Sunday, plus a 36 hole event, for men and women.
Entries close next Wednesday, March 5 so get your partner organised for this popular event.
On course, we had 18 and 9 hole stableford events last Thursday.
The 18 hole winner was Josh Hunt with 38 points from runner-up Ali Ferguson 36, and 9 hole winner was Pauline Sherwin with 15 points from Mardi Chartres 14.
Saturday was also stableford, with three grades.
A-grade winner was Digger Ring with 38 points from runner-up Cade Webb 35, B-grade Ronald ‘Moot’ Turner 36 on countback to Dan Wade, and C-grade Graham Flanagan 38 from runner-up Rivah Taylor 36.
On Wednesday, the A-grade winner was Col Drummond with 42 points from runner-up John Radeski on 40, and B-grade winner was David Connolly 35 on countback to Garry Baker.
Last Friday night the club hosted the ‘9 hole Golden Social’ which was an outstanding success.
A field of more than 100 enjoyed an evening on the golf course, before many took advantage of the clubhouse facilities for a meal, refreshments and some live music.
No doubt this format will be repeated in the future.
Coming up we have a stroke event for monthly medals tomorrow, then on Tuesday there’s par three 12 holes, Wednesday is stableford, Thursday is two-person ambrose and next Saturday and Sunday is the aforementioned Autumn Classic.
Our junior golfers have been invited to the inaugural 2025 Peter Fraser Junior Golf Classic at Kyabram Parkland on March 30.

Friday Night Fun continues tonight with raffle tickets on sale from 6pm and draws at 7pm. Happy hour is 6pm to 7pm.
Members are reminded of the extended dining room hours. Meals are now available from Wednesday to Friday, lunch and dinner.
