The VICSWIM Summer Kidz Program is back on across Victoria, including at Elmore and Colbinabbin.
The program aims to promote water safety among children through affordable swimming lessons.
Aquatics and Recreation Victoria chief executive Kathy Parton said the VICSWIM lessons were available at a range of locations.
“VICSWIM has become a key part of the social fabric of Victoria’s summer,” she said.
“At a time of increased drownings, VICSWIM offers a low-cost Learn to Swim/water safety education program for children aged four to 12 years, in pools, rivers, lakes and beaches across 175 locations in Victoria.”
Normally a single swimming lesson can cost a family up to $25 but families can access five 30-minute lessons for $35 per child through the program.
Families can also use their Get Active kids’ vouchers for a further discount.
Lessons will be available at the Colbinabbin Outdoor Pool from Monday, January 6 to Friday, January 10.
Children can also take part at the Elmore Swimming Pool from Monday, January 20 to Friday Jan 24.
