It was a brilliant sunny day with no clouds in the sky, with children happily splashing in the water with their siblings and friends when The Riv visited.
Moama’s Zane Laurie and his three children, Georgia, 10, Max, 12 and Sacha, 5, were at the pool for a few hours of recreation.
“We come to the Moama pool about once or twice a week, especially if it’s hot like today,” Mr Laurie said.
“The kids prefer the pool, which is much safer than being in the river.”
Mr Laurie’s son Max was excited about his time in the water with his siblings.
“While I enjoy swimming, I usually like to float on top of the water at the pool,” Max said.
Another parent, Mick Bird, was poolside with his two children, Charlie, 6, and Gracie, 5.
The family, from Ballarat, have been visiting family in Moama for the past two weeks.

Swimmer Koolyn Johnson was enjoying his time in the water.
“We’re just playing in the water with the slinkys and having fun,” Koolyn said.
Koolyn had been in the water with his friends for two hours and was about to leave.
“I usually go to the river if I’m hot, but today was a surprise with the visit to the pool,” Koolyn said.
