Thirty four students were enrolled in a VCE program and successfully attained this certificate, whilst 20 Year 12’s and 13 Year 11’s gained a VCAL certificate.
Most students studying both VCE and VCAL have already secured employment, traineeships and/or apprenticeships which is extremely pleasing.
VCE results were very strong again this year, particularly since these students spent the majority of Year 10 and 11 in remote learning.
Twenty-nine students completed a scored assessment in VCE, whilst five students opted for a non-scored VCE.
Of the 29 students completing a scored assessment some highlights were:
•41% of students achieved an ATAR greater than 60
•18% of students achieved an ATAR greater than 80
•Sophie O’Dwyer, one of the Year 11 students, scored a perfect study score of 50 in Year 12 Health and Human Development.
This year 19 students applied to VTAC for university courses. Ten students had already received early entry prior to the commencement of exams.
Most students should be accepted into their chosen TAFE and university preferences for 2023, which is extremely pleasing. First round offers will be released on December 22.
Megan Denny was the Dux for 2022 achieving an ATAR of 86.50. Megan has already commenced a traineeship at Belmores, Yarrawonga.
Students are looking to pursue courses in Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Information Technology, Business, Nursing, Biomedical Science, Health Sciences, Aviation, Engineering, Criminology, Teaching, etc.
“We congratulate all of our Year 12 students, most of whom have secured the pathway options of their choice for 2023,” College Principal Damien Keel said.
