St Paul’s African House will host the inaugural markets to support local African small businesses and other multicultural small businesses.
The markets, which will have stall holders from a range of different cultures and nationalities, ranging from Iraq to South Sudan and Nigeria, will offer the wider community an opportunity to support African communities, and other multicultural communities, as they grow their small businesses.
Local young musicians will be in attendance, playing marimbas, with local art from Nickel Mundabi Ngadwa also available for purchase.
The organisers hope the market will help create a better understanding and build stronger relationships between the wider community and the African community, which will lead to less misconception, myths and racism in the community.
The market will be held on Thursday, December 16, from 5pm to 8pm at St Paul’s African House, 54 Poplar Ave, Shepparton, with entry a gold coin donation.
Stalls are still available. For more information, contact Kate on 0447 215 845.
