“For behold, the winter is past; the rain is over and gone. The flowers appear on the Earth, the time of singing has come, and the voice of the turtledove is heard in our land.” (Song of Solomon 2:11-12).
On Friday, many people gathered at the Jerilderie town hall for the annual Flower Show.
The day was officially opened by Rev Gemma Le Mesurier, in prayer, giving thanks to God for the marvellous creation He has given us.
The wide variety of floral entries give us a small glimpse of just how wonderful and majestic our God is.
Every petal of every flower speaks of His great love for us.
Springtime represents new life and is a reminder that God promises to one day make everything new.
Can you imagine that?
He promises to give us a new heaven and a new Earth, where all believers can live together in peace and harmony under His Lordship.
Springtime also reminds us that God is a God of new beginnings.
When we surrender our lives to Him, he transforms us and fills us with new life.
