Now, they can be yours, too.
On Saturday, October 26, Ms Kelly, one of the region’s most esteemed floral artists, will host a hands-on Floral Crown Workshop, where guests can construct their own unique botanic creations at Shepparton’s Fryers Street Food Store.
For those who lack a green thumb or a creative bone in their body, fear not.
Ms Kelly will provide expert guidance, accommodating all skill levels until they have things down pat, while connecting with her guests about the nervousness of trying something new – a feeling she knows all too well.
After being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2019, Ms Kelly naturally transitioned from a career in public relations to floral art.
Since then, she has hosted various workshops celebrating the beauty of the world’s lush landscapes, and her inspiring story was featured in Multiple Sclerosis Australia’s International Woman’s Day profile.
Ms Kelly believes that part of the appeal of working with seasonal and foraged flowers is the message that beautiful things can arise even through life’s challenges.
It’s more than a floral crown, it’s a symbol of resilience.
Floral Crown Workshop with Marli Kelly is on Saturday, October 26, from 11am to 2pm at the Fryers Street Food Store, 53 Fryers St, Shepparton.
The cost is $70 per person, which includes a grazing lunch and a glass of champagne upon arrival.
Booking is essential, and limited spots are available.
