It will double as a fundraiser for Motherland - a national charity that reduces isolation and improves mental health outcomes for rural women.
The event, being held in Deniliquin in May, will feature a panel discussion with four regional women and facilitated by Motherland founder and CEO Stephanie Trethewey.
The panel will discuss the highs and lows of rural motherhood and guests include Home Grown Kids co-founder Emma Hawkins, Australian TV presenter Catriona Rowntree, Murray Irrigation staff member and Rice Growers Association board member Emily Small and Deniliquin Physiotherapy and Sports Injury owner Johanna Murphy.
Event host and Motherland Village ambassador Fiona Waters, from Denilqiuin, said the fundraiser would celebrate rural motherhood - from new mothers to grandmothers - while discussing key health challenges to “ensure local women are not being left behind”.
“We know the challenges of living in rural and regional areas, but we also know the value of community and connection through programs like Motherland,” Mrs Waters said.
“It would be great to see as many women come out in support as possible.
“I’ve seen the difference Motherland has made to the lives of locals, and if we can give back by paying it forward, it means even more mums can access the services and support they need.”
Tickets are $85 plus GST and are on sale now.
All proceeds are donated to help Motherland in its mission to eliminate the crippling isolation many rural mums face by connecting them to a supportive online community and offering a virtual mothers group program for rural women with children aged all the way up to 18, regardless of their location.
Successful programs so far include the Motherland Connect platform, Motherland podcast, Motherland Village program, scholarship fund, events and advocacy.
The Motherland Deniliquin event will be held Saturday, May 17 from 1.30pm to 5pm at the Deniliquin Town Hall.
